The goal of Member Recognition is to bring attention to the hard work that the members of this division voluntarily put forward, and to encourage continued participation in Key Club from the members we serve. Recognizing members’ accomplishments is essential to encouraging continued efforts being put toward Key Club. Recognizing members’ actions will not only make them feel validated, but it will also more clearly show them how essential they are to the club structure. Although we are all told that the members really make the club, many don’t actually realize the truth in this statement because they only see individuals with higher club standing receiving recognition. When you show that you really do appreciate members’ efforts, it makes them happier and more willing to be active Key Clubbers. Everything traces back to the members’ efforts, and it is imperative that we show appreciation for them so that they become the best Key Clubbers they can be.
