Going Green DCM
As much as it was a service event, the green dcm was also a great learning experience. We turned old plastic bags into balls of plastic yarn, dubbed 'plarn', which were later turned into mattresses. It opened my eyes to a new spin on recycling, that maybe the best sort of recycling that we can do is the type done at home with our own hands. The event taught me new things, as well as help achieve grater things for the community at large in key club.

Color me a KoiBear
I really enjoyed the color me a koibear event! At this event I basically colored 4 different photos of several different pictures such as a bear painting, and a dinosaur. Since this event was with our sister division I got the chance to socialize with even more people and create even more bonds. Overall I enjoyed this event, getting to bond with people while coloring some pages for children.

sass! public relations
On the first day I volunteered at SASS I had to go around Lincoln Center promoting family day at the park and handing out free goody bags to little kids, it was a little out of my comfort zone but was still fun interacting with parents and children. On the second day I organized a bunch of children’s books into boxes to be shipped and was I got really nostalgic looking at books I spent so much of my childhood reading.

Fall into Service
The event was very fun and entertaining. We got to bond a lot with other people that we never met. This event was a good opportunity to get to know other members. We built a lot of paper cranes to donate and stayed on task.

Pie DLT + LTG DCM
November DCM was held on Nov. 14 on Zoom and it was just a great day to see some new faces and old friends from other home clubs ! I enjoyed watching the DLT get pied with either whipped cream or shaving cream—Except our LTG had pied himself with actual pie! It was really entertaining to watch and I’m glad the proceeds went to a good cause. My favorite person who was pied would have to be Peter! He was super funny and I got great screenshots out of them :)

Candidate Training Conference
It was my first time attending this event. This years Candidate Training Conference not only helped me learn more than the basic key club understanding, but help me acknowledge the potentials of being involved for an office above club level. In this event, I learn the challenges and necessary leadership skills in running for LTG. The various presentations were providing information of being a strong leader in general, the duties for each role in key club all around the world, and how to become a role model to future, incoming member and/or officers. All of the LTG’s hosting it did amazing and made it fun and interactive. Overall, this meeting helped me grow as a person and turned my perplexed interest of being a leader to a worth of trying!

Service Week
Service week was a great opportunity for key clubbers to communicate with others and grinding those service hours at the same time! Throughout the week, both Lieutenant governors set up fun and amazing Service opportunities and activities. They were both so welcoming and connecting with people super well. I would definitely recommend doing this again!

Conclave/January DCM
This was my second year attending Conclave, and despite it being virtual, I still had a great time! It was so inspiring to hear speeches from all the different candidates across both divisions. The love and passion regarding Key Club was evident in their voices, and it inspired me to continue serving my community to the best of my ability. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of an important moment for our club, and I'm excited to see what the new term will bring. Best of luck to the LTG elects!! <33

Card Crafting
It went great! We had many participants show us their card creations at the end and they all looked great! Many of our members had family members who worked in health fields so we allowed them to give their thank you cards to relatives and they could deliver the cards for them. :)

Thanksgiving Social
During the Key Club Thanksgiving Social, we were given the opportunity to play games with our peers or complete volunteer work. Before that, we held a fun Thanksgiving-themed Kahoot quiz that set the mood. Once we were off to our designated breakout rooms, we could spend time with our fellow club members. While I was doing service, I could communicate with other people and we could just talk about anything. People in the other breakout room had fun playing Among Us, so I’m sure they enjoyed themselves as well. Overall, it was a very warm and soothing experience and a great way to start off the break. I am happy that I could celebrate Thanksgiving by bonding with the people in our club and getting to know everyone better.

Tutoring
The Gift of Learning volunteers to serve as tutors in their free online tutoring program. This initiative provides students across the nation access to education virtually. I taught 4th graders English, and it was a positive experience that helped strengthened my leadership and planning skills! Every week, I looked forward to preparing fun and creative lessons, and I loved seeing the 4th graders interested in strengthening their knowledge in English. It was definitely a meaningful and impactful way to directly help my community in times of COVID!

Heavenly hands Kitchen Outreach and Food Pantry
The Heavenly Hands Kitchen Outreach and Food Pantry was an event provided by Lincoln Key Club! It was the first in-person service event I have been to in six months. It was fun to get my hands dirty and do some heavy work again. We arrived there at 10 am but got lost along to the way. The ladies there were very nice because they welcome us with open arms. They were very easy to work with and they worked alongside us the entire time. We had to empty a truck full of non-perishable food and organize them into different bins. After that, we loaded all of the bins on to wooden pallets for safe transportation. Overall, it was a very fun event and I would definitely come back! Although we are still in a pandemic, we were all wearing masks and gloves and practicing social distancing.

Friends of the Library
Friends of the Library is absolutely a service event that is very enjoyable. I went with someone and we ended up sorting out books, greeting customers, and checking books out for them. I would say that it was very nice being able to get out of my home and attend an in person event while still being safe.

Love Letters for Literacy
I recently did an event called the Love Letters for Literacy where I created 26 alphabet cards with drawings that correlate to the letter. These cards went to kindergarteners at a local underserved school called Parklane. Along with the cards, we also attached a handwritten letter and ways to use the card for various games. Making the cards was honestly very fun. It was good to know that the cards would be helpful kids who unfortunately are disadvantaged by the distance learning.

Adopt a Park
At Saint Mary’s adopt a park we did several different thinks to help improve the park a bit. The main part i did was chip the fading paint off park benches and tables and paint over them. We also did some cleaning up of the park by picking up some trash. I really enjoyed this service as it allowed me to socialize more with my club and get closer to them while being able to do something great for the community.

Lodi & Cesar Chavez
I had a great experience doing an interclub with Lodi. We introduced ourselves to each other and got to know each other a little bit more. During our interclub, we made thank you cards. We had a fun time chatting with each other and talking about many topics. After we completed service, we played a few rounds of skribbl.io before we ended the event. It was such a good experience and I had so much fun. I would definitely do it again

Lincoln & St. Mary's Interclub
On June 22nd, Lincoln and Saint Mary’s gathered together on zoom to play skribbl.io together! The interclub started with a short conversation among all the attendees to get to know each other better. After all the fun talks and jokes, the competition began! Everyone was eager for their turn to draw their given prompt, and passionately guessed what each person was attempting to draw. All this fun caused people to lose track of time, and this event was extended a few extra minutes so people were able to finish the game.

Bingo TakeOver
I think this interclub was very fun despite the circumstances and our inability to meet in person. I really liked seeing new and familiar faces during these past few months, especially faces outside of my own school. The bingo activity was nice and gave everyone an opportunity to talk about what they did during quarantine and I related to a lot of people.

m(c)hs PIE interclub
On September 12th, the home clubs from Middle College High School and Ronald E. Mcnair High School conjoined to raise money for firefighters. The Leary Firefighters organization collects funds to help and support firefighters through COVID-19 isolation, California wildfires, as well as rewarding those who serve the U.S. Each officer was put on auction for money that would go directly to the Leary organization, as did the Lieutenant Governor. As a result, the inter club raised about $80 dollars in total to help out the front liners during such times.

It was cool seeing other people from Lodi High, everyone got along. everyone was a little shy in the beginning but as we were creating posters, everyone was sharing out and it was really cool seeing everyone being creative. Then we ended off with some games.

Service Race Interclub
This service event was actually really laid back and a lot of fun! not only did I and several others get to get rid of a lot of bottles from the ocean, but the little “podcast” and music that had been going on during it was very entertaining. I believe I got a little over a thousand bottles which I am very proud of!! my hand was hurting towards the end from searching but overall, it was worth it. even though I was far off from getting the free boba, it was still a really fun experience to which I am glad that I had attended :)
