Grizzlies of the Month

Why do we recognize grizzlies that stand out each month?

Each month, we recognize grizzlies for the strongly demonstrating hard work and a passion for serving the community, and performing above and beyond. These individuals truly stand out, not only for their contributions, but for their ability to represent Division 27 North as role models. Recognized individuals inspire other grizzlies to strive towards reaching their goals and putting their utmost effort in serving. Outstanding grizzlies are individuals that others can look up to, and follow their steps. Furthermore, recognition has the power of providing a support system. Appreciating grizzlies not only drives them to continue moving forward and progress further, but it assures them that their efforts bear fruit. The power of recognition is exceptionally impactful.

How do we recognize hard working grizzlies?

Officer of the Month is chosen by general members. The general members have to answer questions about the officer, what have they done, and why they deserve to be officer of the month. I (Sarah Ung, Member Rec.) rely on grizzlies to nominate an individual that stands out to them, and I read through and choose the individual that stands out to me the most.

Kiwanis/Faculty Advisor of the Month and Member of the Month are ONLY chosen by club officers. Club Officers like the general members, choose and answer questions on who, why they deserve it, and what have they done.

These are answered and chosen through a google form that our Member Recognition Task Coordinator designs.

The recognized grizzlies are announced at monthly DCM’s. Acknowledging the outstanding performance of individuals, I truly put my utmost effort in finding gifts and making cards that will put a smile on their face.
